The typical pigmentation pattern allows researchers to identify individual Lynx and to study their specific behaviours, habitat use and long-term presence. The 1:1 Lynx is real animal named Weng. He lives in the Jura of Solothurn (Switzerland) where he is regularly captured in camera traps. Its movements have been documented with the radio collar showing that the area use of males is huge. To meet a lynx is therefore highly unlikely and fear from this predator is inappropriate. The activity "Identification of Lynx" presented in the book "Who is who?" is a great tool to present these facts to the public.
